youtube: The Money Culture You Must Break to Build Wealth
You can read all the finance books, pray for breakthroughs, and work twenty hours of overtime… but if where you return at the end of the day is to an environment that normalizes struggle, you will always slide back into the culture habits that are familiar.
Most women and faith-driven women in business and professionals don’t realize that their bank account isn’t being limited by their capability. It’s being limited by theirย culture.
You see when your environment normalizes financial struggle, your mind eventually returns to it.
And until your culture changes, lasting financial stability becomes incredibly difficult.
And Today in this video we are diving into the third pillar of myย IBCD Framework:ย Culture.
Because after you’ve shifted your identity… you have decided who I am going to be
And after you’ve begun changing your beliefs and behaviors…
The next question becomes:
What kind of environment is shaping the woman you’re becoming?
Because your environment is either reinforcing your growth…
Or quietly pulling you backward.
And here is where We are going to talk about the unspoken rules, family patterns, and social circles that are secretly keeping you broke and exactly how to break free
So The first thing we are going to talk about is
- The Cultural Mirror of Family & Upbringingย and how culture can shape what feels normal
We often think of culture as nationality or traditions.
But culture is much more personal than that.
Culture is the collection of beliefs…
Habits…
Conversations…
Expectations…
And unwritten rules that surround your everyday life.
It’s what feels normal.
And what feels normal usually becomes what you repeat.
Whether you realize it or not, every one of us grew up inside a financial culture. “
Maybe you constantly heard:
“We can’t afford that.”
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“Rich people are greedy.”
“People like us never get ahead.”
Or perhaps…
“As long as we love God, money doesn’t matter.”
None of these statements may have been intended to harm you. And many of them
Were even spoken by loving parents doing the best they could with what they knew.
But repeated messages eventually become internal beliefs.
And internal beliefs become automatic behaviors.
Without realizing it…
You begin living according to financial rules you never consciously chose.
This is why changing your financial future often feels emotionally uncomfortable.
Because success doesn’t just require learning new information.
And also Sometimes requires you to challenge the culture you inherited.
And that is not always easy. Because
One of the hardest parts of building wealth isn’t learning about investing or budgeting.
Sometimes…
The hardest part is feeling like your success will distance you from the people you care about.
And this is something Many women quietly wonder… You wonder
If I build wealth, will my family still accept me?
Will they think I believe Iโm better than them?’ and
Will my family think I’ve changed?
Those fears are rarely spoken out loud.
But they influence your financial decisions.
You may find yourself unconsciously overspending and mismanaging your money.
You may also even find yourself constantly giving away money you cannot afford to give away.
Not because you may fear your family…
But because staying financially stuck feels emotionally safer than feeling disconnected from the people you care about and that makes you stay at the same financial level within that cultural setting
But Breaking that cycle requires realizing that changing your financial future isn’t rejecting your familyโit’s honoring your future.”
Building wealth is not about rejecting your family.
Building wealth instead will allows you to change your family tree.
Because Someone has to become the person who breaks the cycle.
Why not let that person be you?
SECTION 3 โ THE RELIGIOUS CULTURE THAT KEEPS GOOD WOMEN BROKE
Now lets talk about the 2nd cultural influence
“This second cultural layer is what I call the religious culture that keeps women broke
And this one is often found inside faith communities.
Please hear me carefully.
Generosity is biblical.
Serving others is biblical.
Loving your neighbor is biblical.
But neglecting stewardship is not.
Many women have unintentionally been taught that saying “yes” to every financial need is proof of spiritual maturity.
So they become…
The family ATM Machine.
The emergency fund for everyone else.
The woman who always gives…
Even when her own bills aren’t paid.
Even when she has no emergency fund.
Even when she’s quietly drowning in financial stress.
That isn’t generosity.
That’s financial codependency.
And codependency often disguises itself as compassion.
Jesus never instructed us to ignore wisdom.
Scripture repeatedly calls us to faithful stewardship.
Luke 16:10 reminds us:
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.”
Healthy generosity begins with faithful stewardship.
Because when you consistently give from your survival money…
Eventually there will be nothing left to give.
And that is why in the IBCD Framework, healthy culture means creating boundaries that protect your stewardship.
You don’t build wealth so you can love people less.
You build wealth so you can love people better.
Not from scarcity.
But from abundance.
SECTION 4 โ YOUR FRIENDS ARE SHAPING YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE
Now we have the 3rd cultural influence. Which is
Your Friends
The Bible says in Proverbs 13:20:
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
That principle applies financially too.
Think about the conversations that you engage in or the discussions happening around you.
Do people constantly complain about money?
Blame everyone else for their circumstances?
Mock successful people?
Spend emotionally to cope with stress?
Or treat debt as normal?
If that’s your daily environment…
Eventually it starts feeling normal.
But imagine something different.
Imagine sitting around women who discuss about:
Building businesses.
Investing.
Creating multiple income streams.
Saving consistently.
Leaving an inheritance.
Funding Kingdom assignments.
Notice something.
The conversations are different.
And eventually…
The outcomes become different too.
Because culture determines what feels possible.
You don’t need friends who make you feel guilty for growing.
You need relationships that inspire you to become the woman God is calling you to be.
And To shift your financial reality, you must intentionally seek out a culture of growth and Surround yourself with other purpose driven people.
When wealth-building becomes normal in your social circle, you will naturally take on that identity
“And I know Shifting the culture around you can sometimes be challenging, but it is the only way to protect your identity and your progress. Because once you align your culture, you will then be ready to build the actual structures to wealth.
SECTION 5 โ BUILD YOUR WEALTH CULTURE ON PURPOSE
Here’s the truth.
You cannot always choose the family or culture you were born into.
But you can absolutely choose the culture or environment you continue living in.
You have the ability, power and choice to choose:
The books you read.
The podcasts you listen to.
The mentors you learn from.
The things you watch
The churches that teach biblical stewardship.
The friends who encourage growth and
The conversations you participate in.
Culture is not something that unchangeable.
Instead it’s something you can intentionally change and build.
And once that culture or environment supports your identity…
Your behaviors become easier to maintain.
Financial stability stops feeling unusual.
And It becomes your new normal.
CONCLUSION
So we’ve explored here the third pillar of my IBCD FrameworkโCulture.
You see wealth isn’t just about learning better financial strategies.
It’s about creating a culture or environment where wise financial decisions become natural.
When your culture changes…
Your habits become sustainable.
Your confidence grows.
Your stewardship improves.
And your financial future begins to look completely different.
But we’re not finished yet.
Because after Identity…
Believe & Behave…
And Culture…
Comes the final pillar:
Design.
And This is where we build the actual systems, routines, and structures that make wealth sustainable for the long term.
so If you’re ready to build an environment that will help to support you, I have created a free resource called Discover Your Authentic Identity.ย And You’ll find the link to this in the description below.
